I'm on a panel for jury duty. Can't talk about the case at all, not even if it's civil or criminal. Read the subject line for my reaction.
I still plan to go into work a couple evenings this week, though, just to get the bare minimum done.
A change of pace can be nice -- I shan't complain about my six-minute commute (instead of half an hour each way) and being in the courthouse for no more than five hours per day instead of eight hours of work. I just wish it wasn't this.
*pathetic attempt to look on the bright side*
Whee! I'm home early enough to do laundry and get some work done around the hobbit hole!
*still scowling*
It was worth a try.
I did get a LOL today: I recognized a familiar face as I approached the jury holding pen this morning. It was my upstairs neighbor, Oliver! So we hung out and chatted until we were both called to the same courtroom, and he got excused to go back to the holding pen after the panel (with me on it) was finalized.
