I sent Dad a text message yesterday, basically to keep myself from dying of boredom as we waited in the corridor outside the courtroom. I finally retrieved my voicemail today, and he ranted, "You know how to text?! How do you send a text message? I don't know how to text! On Saturday, you're going to show me how to text!" It was hilarious.

I extend gratitude and deep joy to my friends at Portus who showed me how the whole text messaging thing works.

Here's a question for those of you who have attended past HP fan conventions and attended the masquerade parties. What or who did you dress up as? What costumes did you see? I've seen some memorable pictures of

droxy dressed up as Severus Snape, and

soul_bound_8686 dressed as a phoenix.

Were there:
Teachers (generally or specifically)?
Magical creatures?
Portraits?
Muggles?
Basic wizarding robes?
Students?

Tell me everything you remember, please! I've had a few ideas for myself for Portus, but I'd rather not choose something that's been done a dozen times already (and is therefore likely to be done a dozen times at Portus).
