The fantastic thing about dance class (besides the dancing itself) is how it's my reward for working out the rest of the week. Everything I do every other day of the week when I take care of my body is for the purpose of keeping up when I dance.
But I haven't been working out lately, which is why tonight's class is going to make me feel awful tomorrow; I am so out of shape. I can feel the leg cramps waiting to pounce. A hot bath helped with the aches, though.
It will get better if this isn't my only workout every week. I will rest tomorrow, hit Curves Friday morning, and keep at it from there so I can ditch that OH MY GOSH MY LEGS ARE GONNA FALL OFF feeling.
I've been telling people about this for a year and a half, and
lillithj came with me tonight! It was so much fun to have a friend there! And seeing Deb the dance teacher jump up and down and squee when she saw me was encouraging.
Homemade pizza for dinner and half a banana for dessert so my muscles don't seize up. *guzzles water*
