I've gotten a few takers for this meme, and I'm still open to more suggestions!
(a) three facts about them from my personal canon/fanon,
(b) a reason he/she sucks,
(c) a reason he/she is awesomecakes,
(d) five things that never happened to that character, or
(e) five people that character never fell in love with and why.
Edit: I added a sixth man for Minerva, just because.
Three facts about Percy Weasley:
* He never understood how Fred and George couldn't respect their older brother, especially since Bill and Charlie never seemed to get any grief from them.
* He had part of his pay deposited into his parents' vault when he started working for the Ministry and chose to keep that arrangement after Voldemort returned.
* He quit the Ministry after the war and spent the first month after that with Charlie in Romania, giving some serious thought to why he'd gone wrong and what he should do now.
Viktor Krum is awesomecakes because he listened when his godmother taught him that a girl who wants him because he's famous isn't worth his time.
(Canon) Hermione Granger sucks because she'd always planned to hold off on marriage and focus on her career until she was in her late twenties at least, but she let Molly railroad her into the perfect wedding when she was nineteen. (Almost perfect; Ron was the groom, after all.)
Minerva never fell in love with:
* Albus Dumbledore, because there was a coldness about him that terrified her, even at his warmest moments when she apprenticed with him
* Tom Riddle, because he was just as cold and frightening as Dumbledore, for all that he was a year younger than she
* Alastor Moody, because he didn't have an ounce of compassion
* Cornelius Fudge, because she hates incompetence and smarminess
* Horace Slughorn, because she knew he'd vanish as soon as a better offer came, and he did
* Argus Filch, because his cat thoroughly trounced her in a fight
Three facts about the Giant Squid:
* He found a rather large fish flailing under the ice as it tried to make its way back to the air. He punched a hole in the ice and pushed the odd fish upwards so it could breathe. The fish still comes to visit him a lot, even though the water has frozen many more times than he has tentacles.
* He likes the singing fish, even though they don't like him, and he sings softly to himself, his deep voice blending with theirs as the muck blends with the water, and the water tickles him all over as he hums.
* He searches the lake every day for his mate. He doesn't remember why she went away; only that she used to be here, and now she isn't. Maybe she'll come back today.
