'tis a beautiful day

It was a bit warm for my taste when I first set foot outside today, but it's a gorgeous spring day out there now. Breezy, neither warm nor cool, and not a cloud in the sky. The sun is blazing down with an intensity I haven't felt since early October, which I'd be happier about if I had sunglasses.
I've done my good deed for the week: buying two tubs of that horrid cookie dough that kids sell for school fundraisers.
Payday is the day after tomorrow, and because it's the third Friday in the month, there are no deductions out of this paycheck. It's not a huge difference, but it is enough to buy that embroidered pair of ballerina flats I saw last week. And a new swimsuit.
Mom took me out to dinner last night in exchange for an astronomy tutoring session. The food was fabulous, though the service left much to be desired. And teaching Mom was really nice. There were one or two concepts I didn't remember well enough, but Professor Cutie-Pie will go over them with her tonight after class. We worked hard for a good two hours, however, and we got a lot accomplished. More tutoring on Sunday and Tuesday, as she has her first exam a week from tonight.
This A Softer World comic made me squeak with laughter, right in the middle of class on Monday night. Dad came over to see what was wrong, and when he read it, he let out a huge belly laugh.
