I went a little earlier than usual to work today, but I still left before my eight hours were over so I could help Mom with her apartment. The original plan was to go to Home Depot and buy a utility table for her computer, then lug it upstairs to her apartment. I'm the muscle, you see.
(Stop laughing.)
So she suggested dinner first. I'm never one to turn down a meal, especially when she's paying, so we met at BJ's. Mediocre fish and chips, but the pazookie was AMAZING.
And then Mom said, "I don't feel like getting the table tonight. Do you mind if we put it off?"
O_o
I left work early to help her with the table, not to have dinner. She wanted to get it done tonight; she was very adamant about that earlier this week. Now I have hours to make up that, as it turns out, I really didn't need to take, and all for nothing more than greasy fish and a yummy dessert.
Oh, well. It was a good meal overall. It's just that if I'm missing work, I'd rather that the thing I'm missing it for be worthwhile.
I did tell her about the Exchange and my prompts. I also mentioned how I'd previously asked for a fairy tale, and how fun and sweet

If the Shoe Fits was, so she asked for a copy. I'll be saving it to my hard drive and sending it off to her as soon as I finish the Digest.
Boo-Cat is fascinated by
Boomshine. (So am I, but we're talking about him.) He watches the explosions go off with huge eyes, and he will stare at the screen for ten minutes at a time.
