To prove, once and for all, that yes, I am WEIRD:

In Series 4, Episode 13, Stephen asks about what piece of office equipment suffers the most as a result of office Christmas parties: watch from 1:28 to 3:23. (Or 8:16 to 6:22, since the timer on this screen is counting backwards.)

(The paws are Boo-Boo's, by the way. And I've since edited the image, so it isn't so big.)
And then, to add to the odd tone that this day has decided to adopt, I went into the lavatory at my law library, entered the stall, and looked down.
A ladybug was crawling on the handle of the toilet.
Well, going along with the idea that some things bring you luck whether you believe in them or not, I picked it up, took it outside, and released it. (It'll probably get eaten by a bird in five minutes, but at least I tried.)
What's next? A stray dog in my boss' office?
