1. What book or books were special to you in your childhood?
2. What was particularly special or memorable about those books?
3. Have you re-read any of them as an adult?
4. If so, were the books as good as you remembered them?
5. What do you think about movies being made out of children's classics (like the Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of The Rings, etc.)?
1. the Oz books, Edward Eager's books, Snyder's The Egypt Game
2. the magic and imagination in them
3. haven't re-read the Oz books since I was a teenager, but Eager's and Snyder's yes

5. I think it's okay, though I always, always prefer the book to the movie

1. my mother and two felines
2. Mom's great, but I'd rather live alone
3. a husband -- at least I chose him
4. five hours
5. the Winchester House in San Jose. either that or the Tower of London (though for the record, I prefer to play Sardines more than Hide-and-Seek)
