cool stuff

It's been a while since I've made a list of happiness.
1. When I wake up tomorrow, the royal wedding will be over. I understand the significance of it and am slightly curious about a few particulars, like what everyone will wear and if Stephen Fry was invited, but other than that, I can take it or leave it.
2. On Saturday, I'm either going to California Adventure or to the Carpenter Center to see Leonard Nimoy. Win-win.
3. Spring cleaning is well underway, and the hobbit hole is looking better one area, appliance, fixture, or piece of furniture at a time. Visible evidence of progress makes Mom happy, too.
4. Chiropractor tomorrow. I have an ironclad excuse to leave work early on a Friday afternoon (I can take an hour or two of sick time because it's a doctor appointment) and get a massage while I'm at it.
5. I'm happy the Exchange is gearing up. There are some gorgeous prompts out there, and several have made the rusty old cogs in my brain whirr and click a bit! The ones I've come up with aren't nearly as interesting, but I'm signing up anyway as soon as I get everything formatted (probably this weekend). I have a 100% participation track record, and I don't want to mess that up.
5a. I just thought of an idea that would make a fantastic prompt, but I don't think too many folks involved in the Exchange have the necessary experience to pull it off, so I'm saving it for myself. (I already have four fic prompts as it is.) I'm not sure if I have the necessary experience either, but I know several someones who do! I shall start research in the next few days with a trip to the bookshop and/or library.
6. It finally clicked that the new computer at work is unlikely to scratch the heck out of DVDs the way my old one did, so I bought headphones and have been happily listening to movies for about two weeks now. It keeps me from going crazy when I update the looseleaf serials.
7. Lots of other things to look forward to, like an amateur production of Much Ado about Nothing that's set in post-WWII England next week, Mom being home for the weekend, embroidery projects (yes, more than one; Towel Day is coming) to work on, and more mundane stuff like naps.
Deep joy, for it is Friday. (Not quite yet for me, but it is for most of the rest of you.) Those of you at Aeternitas, have a wonderful time and take lots of photos, for I am jealous and must live vicariously!
