I get up in the morning and lurch around. My eyes are open, and I eat and pet the cats, but unless there's an earthquake or someone's yelling at me (something to get my adrenaline going), I'm not really awake until at least an hour after I stagger out of bed. Mom doesn't get this and talks to me as if I was aware of my surroundings and aware that she's in the room. Then she goes off to the Jimbos', and I'm left wondering what she said and what it was she asked me to do.
I've been a stickler about Phil seeing (new) Doctor Who episodes in order. He's seen Nine regenerate into Ten, but when Mom said she wanted to see "Blink," I protested because Phil is behind us by a season and a half. He wanted to see it, so we went ahead. Ooooo!!! Scary! I absolutely loved it. I loved the mystery and suspense, the way the changes in the angels were barely noticeable at first until you had a better idea of what was going on, how it was Sally who made the Doctor's antics possible all along (like Rose being the Bad Wolf), and how it ended with the Doctor and Martha running through London with a bow and a quiver of arrows: "Four somethings ... and a lizard." This is far and away my favorite DW episode I've seen. We went on to watch the next episode (Derek Jacobi! SQUEE!!!), and the next, and the next.
Phil invited me to a barbecue yesterday, so we spent three jolly hours hanging out with a bunch of church friends. Then he came over for FHE. We played Rummikub, I made pizza, life was good. We're both so busy this week that we won't see each other until Monday night, so even though we saw each other every day this weekend, I'm feeling a little forlorn this morning. But I'll call him tonight after Glee. This has become a ritual since the new episodes started; the phone rings as soon as the episode is over. We should just keep the phone line open for the whole episode so we can talk during commercials: "That was Brittany's best line ever!" "How are they going to get out of this one?" "WHAT THE HECK IS WILL DOING TO SUE?!"
Since I won't be seeing Phil this week, I'll be working some late nights to get the end-of-fiscal-year stuff taken care of. Yup, it's that time again!

Well, I think I'm finally awake. Not getting enough sleep makes me groggy, but surprisingly enough, getting enough sleep makes me groggy, too. Time to get moving. Happy day, y'all.
