The BBC is going after YouTube users who are posting episodes of QI. One of my favorite episodes, which I watched yesterday, was deleted today. (I was able to get parts one and two, but by the time those had loaded, three and four were gone.) I understand why they're doing it -- copyright violations -- but really! How the hell else is the rest of the world going to know about this fabulous show, if we can't find it?! Do they really expect us to pay pots and pots of money to amazon.co.uk for the postage to buy DVDs that won't work in our DVD players over here?!
*sulks* Effing copyright laws. I understand why they're doing it, and I completely agree, on an intellectual level -- I'm a library assistant who works with intellectual property lawyers -- I'm just griping about the inconvenience.
However, there is a way around this. Maybe. Someday. If you haven't already done so, and you're even the tiniest bit interested in seeing a show that lives up to its Quite Interesting name, please sign
minervamoon's petition to bring QI to America.
