I was so pooped last night that I neglected to squee over my Exchange gift! It's called Taking a Chance, and it's perfect! The author took three completely different fic prompts and rolled them all into a single fic; I can't imagine how she managed to do that:
1. Hot old falling in love. He should be at least seventy, she's at least fifty. Grey hair and wrinkles are a must. Go ahead and make this DH Epilogue-compliant, since it'll take place at least a decade after. The setting, their occupations, etc. are all up to you.
2. Doesn't have to be DH-compliant; their jobs (wherever each of them is working) complement each other, and they are thrown together through work a lot. Each is attracted to the other, but doesn't think the other is/would be interested.
3. One of them is an Animagus and is teaching the other how to manage the transformation. UST, but with some celebratory lovin' if/when the learner succeeds.
Summary: Almost three decades after the war, Hermione is working as Auror for the Ministry. Her children have grown up and left the nest, and her marriage to Ron is ending. Longing for something more, Hermione jumps at the chance to take on a long-term mission in the Czech Republic. Once there, she meets her mysterious mentor and finds more than she ever dreamed of.
