Hee.

The local art supply warehouse has become my new toy store. I've had a bit of extra money lately, and while I've been good and paid off some of my debts -- and tossed a lot into my savings for a rainy day or a Potterverse convention (whichever comes first) -- both my book collection and my art supplies have grown, this month.

I had such plans for today. Now it's 4 p.m., and I haven't done anything besides washing the dishes. I'm still in pajamas, I haven't done any laundry (though that's because the one washer and one dryer have been going all day), the cats are begging for attention, and I've spent my time reading a Georgette Heyer book, Exchange fics, and drawing. That's it.

And I just checked my voicemail. The phone rang about an hour ago, but I didn't feel like getting up, so I didn't answer it. It was Mom, crying about(  DH spoilers )

I need to call and comfort her, poor thing.

Edit, three hours later: I've been working on a new piece of art, and having such fun with India ink ... experimenting with ways to vary textures and such, and doing layers of washes with diluted ink and stuff. My back is aching from leaning over the posterboard (which doesn't wrinkle like paper does), but this is such fun!
