*yawn* I am up way too early

Yesterday was nice. After four days, Mom's absence was getting to me, so I was very glad when she came home Sunday morning. She came bearing gifts: she went to Morro Bay, which has a snack shop called Krill's. Including having some pretty good fudge, Krill's also boasts the best cheese popcorn any of us have ever had. So whenever someone passes through Morro Bay, they are required to stock up and bring enough goodies home for the rest of us. (And Solvang is on the way home, too, so Mom bought a few petits fours and such there.)
My back's been sore since Saturday, when I spent half an hour lugging rocks from the garage to my patio. Thank goodness I live in the downstairs apartment closest to the alley! So three hours of sitting on folding chairs at church was no picnic. I did give a great lesson, though! Once a month I introduce a different musical artist, composer, or type of music to the church ladies. I gave a little history of barbershop music and then played a recording of the Vocal Majority when they made a CD with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. (Barnes and Noble is having a sale this weekend -- buy two classical CDs, get the third free! I bought six.)
Then we got home and put on Happy Feet. Mom had never seen it, and she collapsed in giggles about ten times. It's a bit corny in parts, but it's such a cute movie! Went to bed early; it doesn't take long for me to get grumpy about how much noise her being home generates.
Once she wakes up it'll be all about the housecleaning, so I'm enjoying the calm before the storm. I have a few First Kiss one-shots to finish, and I'm hoping to post them this evening.
