1. What is your favorite season?
2. Do you do anything special to acknowledge the change of seasons?
3. Planning to do any spring cleaning this year?
4. What is your favorite plant and why?
5. Hows about a poem? C'mon, it can be about anything you like.
1. Autumn! The heat of summer is over for a while, we get weather that's something other than sunny, and the holidays are coming.
2. Not usually, though Christmas (obviously) is only a few days after the winter solstice, so in a way, I celebrate that.
3. I never used to, but I have for the last few years. I'm just getting the flat up to the usual level of company-cleanliness right now (I've been spectacularly lazy this winter), and then I'll bring out the big guns and start doing the extra stuff that only happens once a year.
4. I like herbs I can cook with, but my favorite flower is a white daisy. Big or small, I don't really care; I just like daisies.
5. I can't remember the author, and I'm probably getting the words wrong, but the gist of my favorite haiku is:
In spite of my efforts to conceal my love,
It shows on my face and makes people ask,
"Is something bothering you?"
What? You didn't say I had to write it. Originally written in Japanese, obviously, since the syllables don't match up.
