i can has drabbles!

After almost five months, Hogwarts, a History is back on track. Not completely written, and I have some big gaps to fill in, but I have about ten drabbles done. I have at least twenty to go, most of them after this point:

Longbottom’s face was impassive, but his eyes were wide and worried, despite the aura of alcohol that offended Severus’ sensitive nose as he stepped into the house. He put a vial into his colleague’s hand and demanded, ‘Where is she?’

Longbottom led the way down a corridor, babbling over and over about how everything seemed fine until Hermione saw her, whoever ‘her’ was. The young, lanky man pointed at a door that was ajar, and Severus pushed past him.

Hermione was pacing, a preoccupied, petulant scowl on her face. Two empty wine bottles sat on a table, along with a pair of goblets.

She didn’t notice him at first, which gave him a moment to study her face. A closer look revealed significant distress and recent tears. Her hair was escaping its chignon, tight curls springing haphazardly around her face. The effect was not flattering.

Finally, she seemed to come out of her daze and realize that she wasn’t alone. Without a word, she made her way across the firelit library, bumping into a sofa and an end table en route. She didn’t stop, or even slow down, until she walked right up to Severus and, sighing, thumped her face against his chest.
